ABOUT Zrykari is about survival of the fittest. He is honest, direct, and very calm, seeming almost easy-going to the casual eye. He never bothers to hide his aims though, and he has a sharp eye for the truth and a belief that defies all rules and laws in favor of being the ultimate survivor in this harsh reality people hide from. FRIENDS Friends is a matter of trust. The strong, the interesting, the bold, the different ones, those are what interest Zrykari. Strength and the ability to survive, and then beyond that, good relations and trust. His loyalty is strange, at times he will defend you with his life and many others he will let you fend yourself, often letting your own actions determine your fate. ENEMIES Enemies come and enemies go. Zrykari is very cold and calm, and often his more sarcastic and sneering edge might put others off, but he simply puts you and the world how he sees it. Those in his way or who need to be defeated will be, plain and simple with almost no emotional attachment involved in enemies. LOVERS Lovers? Zrykari isn't closed off to the idea, he simply doesn't pursue it, nor care to. If anything, he may push it away if it interferes with his goals. Still, he sometimes finds an odd fascination with those that interest him deeply, though how far it could go . . .

@chel & @zrykari WHO EVEN KNOWS? Okay. So I have it in my head that the quiet, blank girl with communication issues would probably seem to fall on the "weak" end of Zyrkari's "survival of the fittest" thing. I mean, she's clearly different, but given her seeming naivety, probably not in a way that he'd admire? Especially given the problems she has actually having her Pokemon battle (Benji basically does it for her). So he'd probably be dismissive, possibly even a massive jerk to her? Except, well, here's the thing: Chel doesn't always pick up on people being a massive jerk to her, and there is a strong side to her. I just sort of imagine him dismissing her while she's just sort of shrugging and being like "he's blunt and honest and I appreciate that," never really noticing too much of the meanness inherent in it. And maybe someday Zyrkari will see Chel actually bring out her cold and powerful side, or her fiercely loyal side, and realize she's easily manipulated but also useful? I don't know. What do you think? |

@chel & @zrykari Something I'm Sure . . . I think that is very likely the case between these two. I think building up the dismissive relationship where he deals with her as little as possible and perhaps simply uses her for whatever he needs at the moment if appropriate for the situation would be interesting. Especially given her pokemon situation, I can't imagine him thinking she would ever survive on her own, leading perhaps to some surprise and slight admiration if or when the harsher side of her comes out. |

@chel & @zrykari ONE-SIDED DISMISSAL Sounds about right to me! It would probably be a while until her harsh side gets called out (though I'm flying blind as to what will happen in this plot so who knows?). Until then, though, he just has to be "nice" to her once or twice for her to be willing to do things for him if he thinks she ought to. Although I'm now convinced her Sentret will dislike him. Ah, well, could be fun! Would you like to go ahead and do a thread? If so, would you like to start it, or should I? |

@chel & @zrykari Certainly I see no problem with doing a thread. As for who starts it, I can't say I really care. If you have a great starting idea, then go ahead. If you prefer I start it then I can get something up just as easily. |

fanghua & zrykai WARY RESPECT
The direct and self assured presence would easily attract Fanghua to the older Zrykai. When called for, they'd be an easy and hopefully useful pawn, quick to take directions and punch what needs to be punched without much deep thought. Even if that whole 'Zrykai does not have a moral compass to really speak of' thing is off putting for Fang, they got this for the moment.
Long term though, these two are pretty opposite! The whole truth, justice, and doin' right thing Fanghua rolls with aren't really Zrykai's jam after all. They're probably going to build up an unrecognised fear and avoidance for him (if asked, they vehemently deny it - a hero never runs from a villain or something, right?).
