waking up without much knowledge of your past life isn't something anyone should ever favor. for marcel, he only remembers what seems to come naturally, that involves a nearly crippling fear of being the center of attention, of being put on a hot seat, he finds himself drained from even attempting to put himself out there, and it takes some time to himself to regain the energy he has lost. on the bright side, cooking seems to come 'naturally' to him as well, so at least he won't need to slowly poison himself thinking he knows what he's doing in the kitchen.
I'm going to be super lazy and say that he's open to all sorts of plots. just kinda throw them at me. acts of kindness can be an easy way to his heart, but just being a stranger is enough to put him on edge. you're more likely to befriend him while he's working than anywhere else since he can't run off and hide, and you won't have to worry about him chucking books at your head in embarrassment for one reason or another. well, actually, he might... and then apologize profusely and hope he doesn't end up losing his job. |

Chel and Marcel
I feel like that, if one of the two of them got over their respective shyness, they'd be adorable together. Like, Marcel seems really sweet, and Chel is her weird childish self who's overly devoted to friends, and Marcel is apparently loyal to what friends he gets? Also, Chel, when she's not working her bakery and just watching people, would probably like the library because it's calm and quiet and she can read good books without being interrupted, so maybe they meet that way? I don't know. I just feel like they'd be adorable friends, really! Chel wouldn't even blink at his antics and panic over talking to someone because she just reacts so deadpan to everything and she'd just be like "okay, I guess this is normal enough." What do you think?

tbh, the first thing i thought about for these two was baking buddies. she can cook, he can cook, so why not cook together? though if they make sweets together, marcel might drown it in ice cream.
they probably should meet at the library. perhaps she's reading a book that he adores, or she needs help searching for one? |

Baking buddies? You're just making this more and more adorable, my friend. Making sweets together would be nice, though Chel only likely ice cream in small doses. It's too cold and it makes her teeth hurt after a bit. She'll keep her things separate, then. So yes, meeting at the library would be good! She can ask for suggestions, perhaps, since she's not certain she actually remembers what books she likes. Would you like to start a thread, or should I?

HEY DARK EYES Silvio & Marcel Silvio and Marcel may not have that much of a relationship at first. Silvio is mostly disinterested in socializing, and Marcel is very shy. But I can see Silvio helping clean up the library with Marcel, and then the relationship goes from there. I think they could have an interesting dynamic. Silvio isn't a chatterbox, but at times he may be overwhelming towards his friends. He would still recognize Marcel's timidity and try to get along with him as best as possible. rest with me awhile as i drift closer to sleep ulla |

marcel's fine with people who can become chatterboxes around the right people. he's more likely to just sit there and listen, though. it's kind of that i really have nothing to say, but your voice is keeping me sane so keep talking kind of thing.
really, his shyness will rub away the more he gets to know someone. once he's comfortable in another's presence, he doesn't care what they do around or say around him (unless he's working, then that's a big no-no). so, slowly getting to know each other at the library would be good. just expect marcel to be super awkward the first time they meet outside of the library.
i guess that also goes for chel. psh. |

Silvio would very much still be interested in Marcel if they met outside of the library, as well. Even if Marcel did act awkward, that would only cause Silvio to feel a kind of protective feeling? Like "this precious child must be loved and shielded"? Which may confuse Silvio because he's never felt anything like that before. i'm down for another library thread. his workplace is in haru, though i guess he could go to anywhere else with a library if they decide to act like a fast food chain. "hey, this library needs you today, so go out of your way to go allll the way across the city, kay?"
oh and apparently you can't bring pokemon into libraries. marcel breaks that rule though but shh |
